Turkish Baths and Ripon

Terry and I went off this morning to the Turkish Baths.  She got a few photos before we were told no pictures.  Our policy sometimes is, its better to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission.

Cold pool. Brrrrr

Turkish tiles

Anyway we steamed and saunaed and dipped in the cold pool for an hour and a half and then Terry got a little massage.  It was great on the sore muscles and aches and pains.  We then went off to the little village of Ripon for lunch

and to see yet another cathedral

The crypt built by St. Wilfred in 672 as a place of prayer and devotion

It was really dark

and a museum on the Workhouses of Yorkshire.

We came out of the Workhouse Museum depressed and tired, and Terry said all the kinks they worked out of her this morning were back.  We hopped the bus back to Harrogate to once again pack up for a new destination tomorow.  Plymouth in Cornwall (southwestern England) and it will be an early morning to get to the airport in time for our flight.  Ooooh, whose idea was this.
