Relaxing day at the castle

Got up late and breakfasted at 9:00 a.m.

Beautiful sunny day and we went for a walk down through the sheep pasture.  It's wise to look where you are walking in this field.

We opened a gate to walk into another pasture when two elder gentlemen came up behind us on bikes.
They said they are on Mull for a week of bicycling.  We chatted a moment and they went on down the path way.  As we rounded a corner we saw them walking down through the pasture to what looked like a little stonehenge.  That's the two bicyclists looking at the Standing Rocks.

We took off after them and as we met in the field, they said the stones were probably pre-stonehenge and 2-3000 years old. Just sitting in the middle of a pasture full of sheep and Highland cows. Amazing.

This is what the cows look like up close

We ambled back up the path and had tea at the cafe just below the castle.

What a relaxing morning.  Had lunch at the cafe and ordered our evening meal from them.  We will pick it up later and bring it up to the castle.  They don't mind if we use the castle kitchen to reheat  our soup and mac n' cheese.  We will have our dinner in the library.

Just like home and maybe a wee dram of whiskey for dessert. Our host Tom offers it on the house,soooo.... Which one will it be

Oh, I forgot the castle dogs Lexie and Trexie
