We successfully motored up to Edinburgh and found the airport where we were to return the rental car. The inspector fellow walked around the car looking for damage. Not finding any, he circled again and checked all four tires. He noted about a 1-2 inch scratch on the outer rim of the left front tire that wasn't noted on the original walk around when we rented it. Who looks for a scratch on a tire rim for pete's sake. Anyway, I had to fill out a damage report saying I didn't know how it happened. He said they may or may not charge me for that. There were a few times that we may have gotten a little too close to a curb on some of the narrow roads we were on, so I suppose it could have happened while we were driving it. This would be my only defense, and I didn't hit anything on this beauty.
Ah well, I thought we did well not to crash the thing. It rained a good bit of the day driving up and then when we walked to dinner tonight, so no pictures today. Edinburgh city tour tomorrow.
Oh there was one picture from this morning. Our hostess Beth at Geufron Hall a Bootique B&B. She and her husband Carlton were terrific. They have chickens and pigs and a produce garden in addition to all they have to dao running the B&B. Our breakfast eggs were fresh out of the hen, wonderful bacon, brown toast and fresh fruit and yogurt. All that and a great view. Would definitely recommend this B&B in Llangollen, Wales.
